Ad Sales Assistant

If you’ve always wanted to work closely with upper management and gain valuable media sales experience, this is the job for you!

This company is a unique Network of nationalized cable networks that direct their clients’ adspend to the cable systems. No longer will you be bound by the content of your specific network but you are now free to sell weight on all networks thus providing a more comprehensive media mix and at a reduced rate. With dollars shifting away from the traditional networks, increased competition between network/cable programming and the disparagement of the Upfront, it is evident that the TV Advertising days of old are behind us. Job Specifications

  • Provide direct support to 3 top NY sales professionals at agency
  • Create, revise and distribute media plans and sales proposals
  • Update and distribute quarterly activity summary report
  • Track and log weekly performance numbers
  • Maintain media kits
  • Distribute sales materials for monthly and quarterly sales meetings

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of media experience (cable and broadcast sales or media planning/buying)
  • Proficiency in FileMaker Pro and ACT! Database, a plus
  • Travel likely
