Position Summary:
The Account Supervisor is responsible for developing, managing and directing all aspects of the scope of work on a yearly basis. A comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, defining the short and long-term strategies to meet business objectives and establishing the creative platform to set the tone for development of the creative concepts is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Manages client projects and takes an active role in all disciplines (marketing, creative, media, research, database) from planning to completion
- Coordinates the planning and execution of advertising activities for clients
- Coordinates the development of the advertising program in accordance with client’s objectives and budget constraints
- Coordinates (with Media and Creative members of the Account Group) the recommendation for the advertising media program to be used
- Consults with Creative, Media and Research staffs to communicate client goals and to develop alternative strategic solutions
- Guides day-to-day development of advertising within approved plans. Insures that progressive stages are approved with adequate time to meet schedules
- Submits advertisements and cost estimates to client for approval
- Acquires thorough knowledge of client’s business so that marketing and advertising problems and opportunities may be anticipated
- Depending on the specific account assignment organization, may have supervisory responsibility for one or more Account Executives

- Strategic understanding of the client business by reading clinical studies and trade publications, attending trade shows and meeting with clients. Has ability to get up to speed and understand new information, new products, programs and situations quickly
- Has developed a strong rapport with clients
- Monitors competitive promotional initiatives providing analysis and POV
- Ability to problem solve more challenging budget issues (i.e., exceeding estimates, managing studio costs, etc.)
- Can independently troubleshoot project obstacles and challenges
- Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to create and monitor budgets independently with little or no oversight
- Possess a strong understanding of the client planning cycle
- Solid understanding of advertising fundamentals, including positioning, branding, and principles of great creative
- Creates contact reports
- Surfaces issues on account before they negatively impact client
- Strong writing skills
- Demonstrates creative problem solving and analytical skills by having well thought out solutions to most problems occurring in workplace
- Recommends ways to improve work processes and efficiencies
- Responds to both internal and external client requests promptly and appropriately
Education: - Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: - 5 years (min. 2 years as AE) in marketing, 2 years in pharma

- Demonstrated ability to problem solve efficiently and creatively
- Ability to analyze in-depth test results and understand rudiments of database
- Willing to travel and work overtime
